Author Guidelines

1. General Information

Foreco: Jurnal Kehutanan dan Lingkungan is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes original research articles, review articles, and short communications in the fields of forestry and environmental sciences. Manuscripts submitted must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

2. Types of Manuscripts

The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:

Original Research Articles
Review Articles
Short Communications

3. Language

Manuscripts must be written in clear and academic English. Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to have their manuscripts professionally edited before submission.

4. Manuscript Submission

All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal’s Online Journal System (OJS). Submissions via email or other platforms are not accepted.

5. Manuscript Preparation

5.1. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be prepared in the following order:

Author(s) name(s) and affiliation(s)
Abstract
Keywords
Introduction
Materials and Methods
Results
Discussion
Conclusion
Acknowledgments (if any)
Conflict of Interest Statement
References

For review articles, the structure may be adapted as appropriate.

5.2. Title and Author Information

The title should be concise, informative, and reflect the content of the manuscript. Full names of authors, institutional affiliations, and corresponding author email address must be provided.

5.3. Abstract and Keywords

The abstract should be written in a single paragraph of 150–250 words, clearly stating the research objectives, methods, key results, and conclusions.
Provide 3–6 keywords that are not already included in the title.

5.4. Formatting Requirements

Manuscript length: 5,000–8,000 words for research and review articles
Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
Spacing: 1.5
Paper size: A4, with standard margins
Figures and tables should be numbered consecutively and cited in the text.

5.5. Tables and Figures

Tables and figures must be clear, high quality, and placed close to the relevant text. Each table and figure must include a descriptive caption. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for any previously published material.

6. Citation and References

Foreco: Jurnal Kehutanan dan Lingkungan uses the APA (7th edition) referencing style. All references cited in the text must appear in the reference list and vice versa. Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.

7. Ethical Considerations

Manuscripts must comply with the journal’s Publication Ethics policy. Any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed. Research involving human participants, animals, or sensitive environmental data must include statements of ethical approval where applicable.

8. Plagiarism Policy

All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with unacceptable similarity levels will be rejected or returned to the authors for revision.

9. Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process conducted by at least two independent reviewers. The editorial decision is based on reviewers’ recommendations and the manuscript’s academic merit.

10. Open Access and Licensing

All articles published in Foreco: Jurnal Kehutanan dan Lingkungan are openly accessible and licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

11. Article Processing Charges (APCs)

Foreco: Jurnal Kehutanan dan Lingkungan currently does not charge any submission or publication fees. Any changes to this policy will be clearly announced on the journal website.
