Plagiarism Cheak Policy
Foreco: Jurnal Kehutanan dan Lingkungan is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing. To ensure originality and prevent academic misconduct, all submitted manuscripts are subject to plagiarism screening.

Plagiarism Screening
Every manuscript submitted to Foreco is screened using reliable plagiarism detection software (such as Turnitin, iThenticate, or equivalent tools) before entering the peer review process. -
Similarity Threshold
The journal applies the following similarity criteria:-
Overall similarity index must not exceed 20%

Similarity from a single source must not exceed 5%
Excluding references, quotations, and commonly used scientific terms.

Types of Plagiarism
The journal considers the following as unethical practices:-
Direct plagiarism (copying text without proper citation)

Self-plagiarism or redundant publication

Mosaic or patchwork plagiarism

Data fabrication or falsification related to plagiarism practices

Editorial Actions

Manuscripts with acceptable similarity levels may proceed to peer review.

Manuscripts exceeding the similarity threshold will be returned to the author(s) for revision or rejected depending on the severity of the case.

In cases of serious plagiarism, the manuscript will be rejected outright and may be reported according to COPE guidelines.

Post-Publication Plagiarism
If plagiarism is identified after publication, Foreco will conduct an investigation and may issue a correction, retraction, or expression of concern, following COPE procedures. -
Author Responsibility
Authors are fully responsible for ensuring the originality of their work and for properly citing all sources. Submission of a manuscript implies acknowledgment and acceptance of this plagiarism policy.
