Author Guidelines

Minagro: Jurnal Agronomi is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes original research articles, review papers, and short communications in the field of agronomy and agricultural sciences. Manuscripts submitted to this journal must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by other journals.

Types of Articles

The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:

  • Original Research Articles

  • Review Articles

  • Short Communications

Manuscript Language

Manuscripts must be written in clear and grammatically correct English. Authors whose first language is not English are strongly encouraged to have their manuscripts professionally edited prior to submission.

Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be prepared using the following structure:

  1. Title Page

    • Concise and informative title

    • Full name(s) of author(s)

    • Author affiliation(s) (institution, city, country)

    • Corresponding author’s email address

  2. Abstract

    • A single paragraph of 150–250 words

    • Clearly state the background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions

    • Avoid references and abbreviations

  3. Keywords

    • 3–5 keywords

    • Listed in alphabetical order

    • Avoid repeating words already used in the title

  4. Introduction

    • Background and rationale of the study

    • Relevant literature review

    • Clear research objectives and novelty

  5. Materials and Methods

    • Detailed description allowing reproducibility

    • Experimental design, materials, and analytical methods

    • Statistical analysis used

  6. Results

    • Clear and concise presentation of findings

    • Use tables and figures appropriately

    • Avoid duplication between text and tables/figures

  7. Discussion

    • Interpretation of results in relation to previous studies

    • Scientific significance and implications

  8. Conclusion

    • Main findings and key contributions

    • Recommendations for future research (if applicable)

  9. Acknowledgments (optional)

    • Funding sources and technical assistance

  10. Conflict of Interest Statement

  • Declare any potential conflicts of interest

  • Use recent and relevant sources (preferably from the last 10 years)

  • At least 80% of references should be from peer-reviewed journals

Formatting Guidelines

  • Manuscript length: 6,000–8,000 words (including references)

  • Paper size: A4

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt

  • Line spacing: 1.5

  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides

  • Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively and cited in the text

Citation and References Style

  • Use APA Style (7th Edition)

  • Reference management software (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote) is recommended

Ethical Considerations

  • Manuscripts must comply with the journal’s Publication Ethics policy

  • Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable

  • The journal uses plagiarism detection software to screen submissions

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. The editorial decision is based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the manuscript’s scientific merit.

Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain the copyright of their articles and grant Minagro: Jurnal Agronomi the right of first publication. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0).

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

Minagro: Jurnal Agronomi does not charge any submission or publication fees. (Edit this section if APCs are applied.)

Manuscripts must be submitted online through the journal’s Open Journal Systems (OJS). Authors are required to register and follow the step-by-step submission process provided on the journal website.
