Peer Review Process

Minagro: Jurnal Agronomi applies a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, integrity, and academic relevance of all published articles. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential.

Review Procedure

  1. Initial Screening
    Upon submission, the manuscript is evaluated by the editorial team to assess its suitability with the journal’s focus and scope, compliance with author guidelines, and adherence to ethical standards, including plagiarism screening.

  2. Reviewer Assignment
    Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area.

  3. Peer Review
    Reviewers assess the manuscript based on originality, scientific quality, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, and contribution to the field of agronomy and agricultural sciences. Reviewers provide constructive feedback and recommendations.

  4. Editorial Decision
    Based on the reviewers’ evaluations, the editor makes one of the following decisions:

    • Accept

    • Minor revision

    • Major revision

    • Reject

  5. Revision Process
    Authors are required to revise the manuscript according to the reviewers’ comments and submit a detailed response to each point raised. Revised manuscripts may be returned to reviewers for further evaluation if necessary.

  6. Final Decision
    The editor makes the final decision regarding acceptance based on the revised manuscript’s quality and compliance with the journal’s standards.

Review Timeline

The average review process takes 4–8 weeks, depending on the availability of reviewers and the number of revision rounds required.

Confidentiality and Ethics

All manuscripts and review reports are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers and editors must declare any conflicts of interest and adhere to ethical standards in accordance with COPE guidelines.
