Abstract

Tomat (Solanum lycopersicum L.) merupakan komoditas hortikultura yang mudah mengalami kerusakan pascapanen sehingga memerlukan penanganan tepat, terutama pada tahap sortasi dan pengemasan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi kesesuaian praktik sortasi dan pengemasan tomat pada pedagang pengecer di Pasar Inpres Kota Lubuklinggau berdasarkan prinsip Good Handling Practices (GHP). Penelitian menggunakan metode survei dan audit praktik dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara terstruktur, checklist, dan dokumentasi terhadap tiga pedagang yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh pedagang memperoleh tingkat kesesuaian 75% dan termasuk kategori baik. Pedagang telah melakukan sortasi, memisahkan tomat rusak dan sehat, menggunakan kemasan bersih, serta menyimpan tomat tanpa kontak langsung dengan lantai. Namun, grading berdasarkan ukuran dan kualitas belum diterapkan, sementara sebagian pedagang masih mencampurkan tomat busuk dengan tomat sehat. Kerusakan dipengaruhi cuaca, tingkat kematangan, dan lama penyimpanan, dengan kehilangan sekitar 1–5 kg per hari. Perbaikan diperlukan melalui grading, peningkatan sanitasi, pemisahan tomat busuk, dan percepatan penjualan.
